Curriculum Unit
I am so excited about my curriculum unit. I've been teaching it for the past four year--but I didn't really have great resources until now. I've completed both lessons, and this week I will be showing my presentation & assigning my e sheet activity. The kids love the technology & think it's a fun unit...better than all the notes we usually take. I even had my principal come in and observe & he thought it was great. Even though there has been some frustrating moments, I am learning so much & using things I've created. This is one of the most useful classes I've ever had. I wish I would have declared my content area in Instructional Technology.

Make Beliefs Comix
I am so excited to report that I have actually used one of the recommended websites from Geek Your Teaching. I used the Make Beliefs Comix in my World Language class & it was a huge success. I'm so excited to be using what I've learned!

After exploring the website I found "Geek Your Teaching" to be the most beneficial. I found several ideas that I can use in my classroom. The first one was using a Wikis for group projects. It never fails that one person seems to do all the work in group projects. Now each group member can be responsible for a page. It will make grading simpler too. The second one I liked was the Make Beliefs Comix, which allows students to make a comic strip. In my World Language class, students create comic strips for new conversations they learn. This will be a perfect way to incorporate technology into this class. The third one I liked was the Animoto which will be useful for student projects. The Animoto will be a great tool for students to create presentations on. I usually never feel like I know how to incorporate technology into the classroom, but feel like I've really gained some valuable tools I can actually use.

Classes at PSC
I created this Blog for a class I'm taking at Peru State College. I have to admit this is my first time...I've never had the desire to blog before. I am looking forward to learning more about it & finding ways to use it in my classroom.
